ViewsForChange is backing the Better Business Act because we agree that Britain needs business at its best.
76% in the UK want businesses to be legally responsible for their impact
The team at ViewsForChange are backing the Better Business Act.
The objective of the act is “to see these four principles reflected in an amended Section 172 of the Companies Act.
It can no longer be a choice to align the long-term interests of people, planet and profit. The Better Business Act will transform the way we do business, so that every single company in the UK takes ownership of its social and environmental impact.”
Better Business Act research shows that UK voters and consumers want business to do better. Three quarters of the UK public think business has a responsibility to protect the environment and the majority favour brands that do good in the world. Our research & the stats back this up.
The Better Business Act will transform the way we do business, so that every single company in the UK, whether big or small, takes ownership of its social and environmental impact.
“At ViewsForChange, our vision is to change consumer and corporate behaviour through integrating generosity into traditional business models. The Better Business Act aligns with that, and our core values. As a Pending B Corp; we believe this is a vital step in ensuring businesses have a positive impact so that people, society and our planet can thrive.”Nicola TelfordCo-Founder & CEO
How To Get Involved
Your business can join the campaign here:
20th April is Better Business Day.
What is Better Business Day?
“Better Business Day in Parliament will be a pivotal moment in the campaign, marking our one year anniversary and acting as a key campaign moment that helps to build further momentum before the Government lays out its legislative agenda for the year ahead in the Queen’s Speech.
This event is open to all supporters of the Better Business Act as well as parliamentarians, business leaders and individuals who are interested in supporting the campaign.
A small change in the law will make a big change in the world. It will allow businesses to make decisions in all of our long term interests, helping to create a fairer, greener future for everyone.”
